David Webb {Principal}
One of the UK's top specialists in immigration and nationality law.

David Webb is a senior solicitor of many years standing who has been actively involved in the field of UK immigration and British nationality law for over thirty years. His early career involved not only working at Baker & McKenzie (the world’s largest commercial law firm) for five years, but also for Tower Hamlets Law Centre (based in the east-end of London) for a similar period of time. Previously a partner at Gherson & Co, he has for the last seventeen years been the Principal of DJ Webb & Co. His wide experience means that he is able to advise and assist in all areas from appeals against deportation to admission of investors and entrepreneurs.

Over the years Mr Webb has held various official positions including that of the Chief Assessor of the Law Society Immigration Law Panel and a Law Centre Trustee. He was a founder member of the Immigration Law Practitioners Association (‘ILPA’), and was previously on the Editorial Advisory Board of ‘The Journal of Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Law’. For the last twelve years he has been a part-time Immigration Judge sitting at various Hearing Centres throughout the United Kingdom. He is the author of numerous legal articles and legal texts in the field of immigration law and he has over the years worked with and trained a number of individuals who are now themselves also regarded as leading practitioners in this area of law.


Sonu Vijh {Solicitor}

Sonu Vijh is a qualified solicitor who has been working for DJ Webb & Co since March 2003.

Her immigration practice covers all aspects of immigration and nationality law. She provides practical, professional advice on all stages of the application process; prepares all the necessary paperwork for appeals and also represents clients at court. She carries out her work carefully and efficiently. Client often express how clearly they see their situation after their initial consultation with her.

She has a wealth of experience in the full range of entry clearance and in-country applications including family reunion cases, European cases, points-based system applications and non-points based system employment applications. She has advised and assisted on applications at British High Commissions and British Embassies around the world. She also speaks Hindi and Punjabi.

Antonia Torr {Trainee Solicitor}

Antonia Torr has extensive experience in immigration law, representing several renowned London based law firms. In particular, she specialises in private business immigration, EEA applications and family based migration, in addition to immigration appeals. Antonia graduated with an LL.B in ‘Law with European Union Law’ from the University of Leicester, progressing to obtain a Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the University of Law. She also possesses OISC Level 3 and IAAS level 2 qualifications.

She has an international facet to her education, having completed most of her secondary education in Canada, Australia and Tanzania. As part of her extensive undergraduate studies, Antonia also spent 18 months at the Univerisitat de Pompeu Fabra (Barcelona, Spain).

Many of Antonia’s clients praise her for the high level of commitment, dedication and expertise they receive, frequently returning to D. J. Webb & Co in order to obtain further legal advice.

Lawrence Youssefian {Legal Caseworker}

Lawrence Youssefian was born and raised in Japan and has lived in six countries. He is fluent in English, Japanese and Farsi. He studied law at the University of Liverpool before completing the Bar Professional Training Course at Kaplan Law School. Prior to joining DJ Webb & Co Solicitors, he interned at the International Criminal Court for the defence team in cases involving Sudan, Kenya and Kosovo.

At present, Lawrence specialises in representing clients at their immigration appeals before the First-Tier and Upper Tribunal. He is also experienced in drafting written submissions for applications for permission to appeal to the Upper Tribunal and for Judicial Review proceedings. He is a dedicated lawyer with a passion to represent individuals whose legal rights have been infringed.

In addition to his legal interests, Lawrence enjoys photography and a number of his photographs have been published in the National Geographic Website as the ‘Editor’s Pick’.



Linda Beagle {Support Staff}

Linda Beagle is a qualified Legal Secretary with many years’ experience in various practice areas of law. She joined DJ Webb & Co in March 2012 after working for SNR Denton LLP for eleven years as a Legal Secretary. Linda provides support to all the Fee Earners, as well as being a first point of the contact when the clients arrive for appointments.



Anne Barnett {Support Staff}

Our experienced Senior Receptionist and Administrative Officer, has been with DJ Webb & Co for twelve years. Anne is a Psychology and Business graduate from New Era University in Manila, with follow-up studies in Geneva and London. Her multinational experience in Asia and Europe in running businesses and managing client relations, ensures DJ Webb & Co’s clients are well cared for.

In bring to this frontline position a cosmopolitan approach, Anne represents the quintessential essence of DJ Webb & Co’s practice and its international clientele in both corporate and private areas.
